Easter Weekend, Good Friday 3rd – Monday 6th April. The Church will be open 10am – 4 30pm over the weekend. Churchyard maintenance.
Friday 10th April 11am/Sunday, 12th 10am, Churchyard maintenance.
Saturday 11th April, Annual General Meeting of the Friends at the Capel Curig Community Centre, Capel Curig at 11 am with a talk by Hefin Huws about the church floor restoration.
1.45 pm. Afternoon excursion to three medieval churches on Anglesey looked after by The Friends of Friendless Churches: St Twrog’s Bodwrog, St Bigail’s, Llanfigael, and St Afran, St Ieuan and St Sannan Church, Llantrisant.
Saturday 2nd May. Churchyard maintenance.
Saturday 13th June, Grand reopening of the Church at 2 pm, following the restoration of the interior. Click here for poster.
An exhibition on The Churches of Capel Curig will be in the church throughout the summer. If the church is not open, you can obtain a key from Joe Brown’s shop at the A5 junction.
Saturday 20th June, Our Alice and Hilda Evening, 7.30 pm at the church. A jolly evening with a mixture of poetry, song and blues music, capped off with a glass of wine, with Richard Douglas Pennant in charge and blues duo Hollow Log. Click here for poster.
Saturday 4th July, the Capel Curig fete where our volunteers have a stall.
Saturday 25th July work day from 11 am at the church and churchyard, with A Tea and Cake afternoon. Members and friends are invited to bring along new information about Capel Curig and district to share, e.g. new pictures, books, documents, pictures of the church and the area, and other related artifacts, with a picnic tea.
Saturday 8th August, 7.30 pm, An Evening with Jonathan Richards, classical guitarist, by candlelight entitled ‘Ancient and Modern’. Click here for poster.
September 4th/5th/6th, Get Stuck in Weekend for church and churchyard maintenance. The church will be open as part of the Conwy Open Doors Festival.
Friday 21st November, 7.30 pm, Annual Local History Autumn lecture in the Community Centre Capel Curig.
Saturday 22nd November, 7 pm. Our ‘Thank You’ Medieval Dinner for volunteers at the church. Details from Harvey Lloyd.
Saturday 12th December, 6.30 pm. Village Carols by Candlelight at St Julitta’s Church. A village celebration of Christmas, brought together by Peter Smith and other residents of the village.
